Twitter initially locked out the creator of the controversial ‘Libs of Tiktok’ account on June 8 over a thread that showed videos of drag shows targeting children, citing “abuse and harassment.” After allowing access on the condition that she delete the posts, Twitter reinstated her to the account. CEO of the satirical news website Babylon Bee, Seth Dillon, who recently announced that he provided financial backing to the creator, tweeted out Twitter’s actions against the account.
“Twitter just locked out @libsoftiktok for posting a thread about several recent drag shows for kids. The thread allegedly violates Twitter’s rules against “abuse and harassment.” You know what’s actually abusive? Drag shows for kids.”
“You can promote drag shows for kids on Twitter. That’s fine,” Dillon continued in the thread. “You can even share videos of yourself performing in them. The only thing you can’t do is criticize them. Somehow the feelings of a few drag queens matter more to Twitter than the corruption of a generation of children.”

The creator could not access the account unless she deleted the posts and Twitter has denied Libs of TikTok’s appeal. While the original thread was taken down, other videos from child drag shows remain up. One shows a child “drag queen” dancing in front of adults as they cheer and hand him money.
Another video shows a drag queen named “Nicole Jizz” who was invited by a San Francisco middle school to perform in front of the children.

Libs of TikTok procured leaked internal messages from a Twitter employee over the “pros and cons” of banning the account, according to the creators Substack. One employee wrote, “If we deplatform [libsoftiktok] we might erode trust in our platform from users who already think we’re irredeemably biased against conservatives.” Another responded, “I mean we successfully deplatformed Trump—I don’t think deplatforming Libs of TikTok is going to cause a mass exodus but I guess it might not be in our “fiduciary” interests to enact a ban on a high profile account right now…”
The employee subsequently apologizes for bringing up “fiduciary” concerns when an employee wrote that “trans people are being targeted for genocidal violence during pride month.”
