Democrats lambasted Florida Senator Marco Rubio for anti-Semitism after he introduced an amendment on the Senate floor to their $749 billion climate and tax bill last week that would “provide additional resources for local law enforcement and ensure violent criminals remain behind bars.”

“Violent criminals should be in jail, not on our streets,” his press release reads. “Too many of our communities are victims of rich laptop liberals that shout woke slogans but never have to deal with the consequences of their actions.”

When Democrats shot the amendment down, Rubio took to Twitter, saying that “The Democrats just blocked my effort to try and force Soros-backed prosecutors to put dangerous criminals in jail.”

It comes as no surprise that Democrats, who champion violent crime as their cities are plagued with violence, would jump to Soros’ defense; and it comes as no surprise that Democrats, who accuse everyone that disagrees with them of some kind of “-ism” or “-phobia,” would label critics of Soros as “anti-Semitics.” The Democratic daddy who funds their operations mustn’t be spoken about in any negative way.

The left-wing billionaire’s funding is not a secret as he has reportedly given “anti-incarceration prosecutors” billions of dollars. The funding comes as part of his goal “reshaping America’s justice system,” according to a Politico article titled “George Soros’ Quiet Overhaul of the U.S. Justice System.” His notorious donations have been through his Open Society Foundation, which list their expenditures. In 2020 alone, the foundation has given $84 million to “Justice Reform and the Rule of Law.”

If his role in supporting left wing prosecutors is not clear from his foundation’s spending, then you can also find his an op-ed in the Wall Street Journal, “Why I Support Reform Prosecutors.” Regardless, Democrats used racism as yet another defense for an indefensible position.

“Marco Rubio, what is a Soros-backed prosecutor?  Do you mean Jewish?” tweeted Fred Guttenberg, a Florida gun control activist who lost his daughter in the 2018 Parkland shooting. “Asking for the many Floridians who are Jewish and who will be voting soon.”

“When Republicans say ‘Soros’ they mean ‘Jewish,’ and Rubio knows it. Ugly stuff,” tweeted Democratic strategist Greg Pinelo.

Randi Weingarten, president of the American Federation of Teacher also took aim at Rubio, saying that “This is how anti-Semitism takes root and spreads.” But Weingarten was also reported to have said that Jews take opportunity away from other Americans.

“American Jews are now part of the ownership class. What I hear when I hear that question is that those who are in the ownership class now want to take that ladder of opportunity away from those who do not have it,” she said.

If criticizing a Jewish billionaire funding political groups is anti-Semitic, then Democrats going after the Koch brothers and the late Sheldon Adelson is also anti-Semitic. “Soros doesn’t get special dispensation from criticism. But when you’re wracked with paranoia, and see fascism behind every proposition you dislike, you tend to become a hysteric,” the David Harsanyi writes in the Federalist.

While on the Senate floor introducing his amendment, Rubio called out the major elements of the Democratic spending bill that they erroneously dubbed the Inflation Reduction Act—a bill that even Democratic Socialist Bernie Sanders said would have a minimal impact on inflation.

“Let me tell you what people care about. They don’t care about buying solar panels and electric cars as much as they do not having to live in a community where violent crime is rampant and you’ve got some crazy prosecutor that refused to put people in jail, that refuses to prosecute entire categories of crime,” he said.

“Don’t waste time on stuff that doesn’t matter to real people who are working every single day who are not going to be driving an electric car next year or the year after that, but they might get mugged. But they might be a victim of a violent crime.”
