Lawmakers in over twenty states (Florida, Idaho, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Wisconsin, West Virginia, Utah, Texas, Tennessee, South Dakota, South Carolina, Rhode Island, Pennsylvania, Ohio, North Carolina, New Hampshire, Missouri, Michigan, Maine, Louisiana, Kentucky, Iowa, Arizona) are taking steps to ban Critical Race Theory. This includes the teaching of “divisive” antiracism teachings. 

Naturally, the Left is up in arms about states not wanting to push their agenda of guilt, virtue signaling, and labeling. Critical Race Theory is an academic philosophy and training model that looks at how race has impacted societal structures in the United States. It employs themes of white privilege, white supremacy, and systemic racism. Largely, it promotes white guilt and argues that every white person is inherently racist. 

While many states are rejecting this model which drives a larger wedge between its people, several blue states are outraged at the dismissal of it. In fact, nine states (California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Minnesota, New Jersey, Washington, and Wyoming) have expanded their education on racism. 

With so much push and pull on how public education should move forward following a dead year, months of racially-charged riots, and corporate pushes to adopt Critical Race Theory, it forces us to look closer at what’s going on in our public school systems. Is this really about education? 

Or are we really looking at the indoctrination and grooming of our children? Has it always been about that? 

Liberal talking points have always found their way into education. That’s what it was designed to do. For decades, liberal teachers and professors have outnumbered conservatives. They teach with a hard emphasis on the failures of the United States, glorification of socialism, and condemnation of Judeo-Christian values. They’re taught what to think rather than how to think. 

According to some of the few Conservatives in higher education, many of their students have little to no knowledge of American history, the Constitution, government, or civics concepts. They’re being robbed of the ability to think critically in regards to world events, legislation, or culture. Instead, they’re being given scripts that turn them into mockingbirds of the Left and just enough information to pass standardized tests. 

This system has been in place for some time. We’re seeing the direct results of it on the news, social media, and in our elections. Our society is largely incapable of discerning propaganda from factual news and then turns a blind eye to situations that put the bias under the spotlight. The scheme of teachers’ unions and Democrat politics works. That much is clear. 

With so much disdain for the states taking back control of their schools and rejecting racist ideology, you have to ask yourself, was it ever about educating our children? Or was it about creating a voter base that would never have the skills or free thought to recognize the mission?
