It’s time to acknowledge the 500-pound gorilla in the room: we all knew that a Biden administration was going to be bad – but who could have possibly predicted it would be this bad? Joe Biden has been president for only a little less than five months, and America is already in shambles for it.
Since the inauguration of the 46th president, the world has gone to hell in a handbasket. The Middle East is on the verge of another wide-scale war as Israel continues to be blamed for defending itself against Hamas. Russia has amassed 80,000 troops on the Ukrainian border. The Chinese threat against Taiwan, as well as against American interests in the Pacific, is growing rapidly with every passing day. North Korea has ramped up its nuclear program and has resumed missile testing. The Biden administration’s intention to restore the disastrous Obama-era Iran nuclear deal has emboldened the Iranians and is now threatening America and her allies.
Meanwhile, on the Homefront, a once thriving, energy independent America is now suffering from skyrocketing gas prices, further exacerbated by the mainstream media’s reluctance to hold the Biden administration accountable for the recent cyberattack on Colonial Pipeline, which has caused crippling gas shortages for many Americans. Our Southern border has deteriorated into a full-scale humanitarian crisis, with Vice President Kamala Harris not holding a single press conference since she was tapped by the president to lead the situation. Trillions in federal entitlements in the form of stimulus checks for COVID-19 has disincentivized employment, which in turn led to an abysmal jobs report for the month of April, which fell short of economists’ 1 million jobs projections by over 800,000. In addition, in the midst of the nation’s $29 trillion-dollar debt, the Biden administration has decided that it wants to spend $10 trillion on new ‘recovery’ programs that in reality will simply expand the federal bureaucracy to patently-absurd levels whilst doing fairly little to uplift Americans.
A radically left-winged administration continues to play with fire as it works to tear down traditional constitutional safeguards and erode our personal liberties and freedoms to solidify control over the federal government, such as its efforts to sloppily federalize American elections, abolish the Senate filibuster, pack the Supreme Court, and its attempts at granting statehood to the District of Columbia. The regressive teachings of critical race theory have seeped into our K-12 education system with the intention of indoctrinating the next generation of left-wing activists.
All under the guise of ‘Uncle Joe, Captain Moderate’.
We get it, though. After all, Joe Biden is a really nice guy. We’re sure he reminds you of every family’s weird (yet lovable) crazy uncle at the yearly Fourth of July barbeque. It is certainly understandable how millions of Americans were fooled into believing that Joe Biden was going to usher in a return to normalcy. Biden’s persona embodies a Democratic Party that no longer exists, the nostalgia of Bill Clinton’s left-of-center governance.
We totally get it. America may have skyrocketing gas prices, a border humanitarian crisis stemmed from the reluctance to enforce its own laws, a foreign policy that shies away from diplomacy and promotes instability and bloodshed, a stagnant economy disincentivized by overbearing federal entitlement programs, and efforts to preclude the very constitutional safeguards that sustain the continuity of our Republic – but at least Donald Trump isn’t posting mean things on Twitter anymore.
If this is what a return to normalcy looks like, then job well done.
Good job America, Build Back Better!
